What is Catalog Import-Export?
Every e-commerce brand has quirky product categories which play an important role in boosting performance. It is ingenious to be aware of the best performing categories to favor the ROAS.
Import - Export of a catalog is the process of sorting the catalog to get a detailed analysis of category-wise performance in Catalog Categories View.
Steps to be followed :
Download the Catalog CSV from the Catalog>>Products View from Adyogi Platform.
Open the downloaded CSV > Select All > Apply Filter.
Figure out the categories to be sorted from your website. Try to combine the product categories together if they fall under the same head.
For Example: In the case of Apparel, when there are a lot of product categories on your website, You can combine “Kurtas” and “Kurta Sets” together.
Focal points should be on “product_catgeory_list ( Column P)” and “overridden product_category_level1 ( Column R)”.
Click on the dropdown of Column P > Text Filters > Contains > Enter one of the categories > Click “OK”.
Now, in this case, the products under the “Saree” category have been listed in the product_category_list.
In Column R, enter the category name and copy the same along all the products coming under the selected category.
Click on the dropdown of Column P > Click on Select All > OK
Click on the dropdown of Column R > Deselect the category already sorted and select only “Blanks” > Click “OK”
Repeat the process until all the products are sorted under a category.
In case a few products are still left unsorted in the column_product_list, click on the dropdown of Column D (product_title) > Text Filters > Contains > Enter the category > Click “OK”.
In Column R, enter the category name and copy the same along all the products coming under the selected category.
Once all the products are settled under a category, save the catalog in CSV (Comma delimited) format.
Go to Catalog Product View in Adyogi platform > Edit Bulk Product > Upload CSV.
